My graduation day made me want to cry—but, not for the reason I thought it would. The ceremony was outdoors with no tent coverage whatsoever and I ended up swapping out my cute graduation dress and heeled sandals for boots that, unfortunately, I learned were not waterproof far too late, two pairs of socks, an old dress, raincoat and $2 poncho.
My Senior Year College Bucket List
I am fairly awful at bucket lists. In fact, I touched upon it in my 19 things before 20 (revisited) post, where I essentially said I am garbage at creating vague, bucket-list-y lists and checking them off because I change my mind so often and have no idea what I want to do.
So, naturally, I created a senior year bucket list for my last year of college. I’m simply brilliant at sticking to what I say! But, my senior year bucket list is much more concrete and simplified. Plus, virtually everything on it is actually doable in the amount of time I have left of my senior year. In fact, I’ve already checked off a large chunk of the list. Here are just a few of the things on my senior year bucket list (most of them were food or coffee related but I’ve left them off because they’re super specific).
How to Prepare For Your Senior Year of College
I’m officially a senior in college. Yikes. It seems like just yesterday I was hanging up posters in my freshman year dorm and complaining about the lack of air conditioning. Senior year of high school was constantly filled with the pressure to make the most of everything whether it be prom or any random weekend in the year. I can only imagine senior year of college will be the same way except a million times worse because there’s not another round of schooling after (unless you’re headed to grad school or something).
While the pressure to make the most of everything is stressful, there is some good in it. I mean, we’re going to be graduating college, which, is a huge deal. While the senior year of college is undoubtedly going to be kind of sad, I have no doubt that it’ll be packed with fun memories and events. Here’s how to prepare for your senior year of college in order to ensure your year has the least stress and most fun possible. Or, at least, how you think I can and how I’ll try to. No stress is not guarunteed.
