Ed Sheeran “Divide” Track by Track Album Review

Ed Sheeran "Divide" Track by Track Album Review - Deluxe Edition

Am I crying? I’m crying. Ed Sheeran has once again resurrected my eardrums and touched emotions I didn’t even know existed in my black, cold heart. In his new album, released March 3, 2017, Sheeran combines folk, acoustic guitar and a plethora of other styles to create a fairly unique creation.

Ed Sheeran has been one of my favorite artists for years and he’s yet to release a disappointing album. I’m certainly not disappointed with this, I’m over the moon. Though somewhat overwhelmed with sappy love ballads, this album has something for everyone. Here it is, my Ed Sheeran “Divide” Track by Track Album Review.

One Direction’s Made In The A.M. (Deluxe) Track-by-track Review

One Direction One Direction's Made In The A.M. (Deluxe) Track-by-track Review // eyeliner wings and pretty things

One Direction has had a soft spot in my heart since their debut with Up All Night. I’ve been closely following them through it all–from their achievements to Zayn’s departure to their recent album release, Made In The A.M.

With this album, you can see One Direction finally coming into their own. Their gradual style shift that began with Midnight Memories and continued with Four has been finalized with this album. Track-by-Track Album Review: Melanie Martinez’s ‘Cry Baby’

Track-by-Track Album Review: Melanie Martinez's 'Cry Baby'

Melanie Martinez was one of my favorites on The Voice. Her unique voice and her split colored hair really pulled me in. I was with her for her first Dollhouse EP and I’m with her for her new album, “Cry Baby.” This was definitely one of the most unique albums I’ve listened to. Her theme was very creepy toys and sinister messed up children based on what I’ve gathered and…well…it’s what is sounds like.

She incorporates nursery rhymes, toy-like noises and childlike playground songs in a creepy way and also has demonic voices or sound effects throughout the songs…so…yeah. Here’s what I thought of this Alternative Pop album.

Track-by-Track Album Review: Shawn Mendes’ “Handwritten”

shawn mendes album review graphic

I heard about Shawn Mendes when his music video for Stitches was mentioned in a BuzzFeed article. I literally get all of my news about everything from that app and when I found this video, I wasn’t so much impressed by the video (although it’s not bad) but the song pulled in me on the first few notes. Mendes wrote for all of the tracks on this album (with the exception of three), hence the name “Handwritten”.

This album is described as being part of the Indie Pop genre which is my favorite genre. Indie + Pop = YES. I love it. My weakness for male voices, singer-songwriters and a good acoustic jam pushed me to write an album review! Here we go… Read More →
