When I was but a wee freshman doing my very first internship, I created Tips for Commuting in NYC. Since then, I have spent so many months of my life commuting to and from this magical yet awful city. I have become so jaded. But, I have figured out how to make my commute, which is usually an hour and a half to two hours, a lot more bearable and sometimes even something I (sort of) enjoy.

One thing I unexpectedly did very often was buy groceries in college. Most of the places I lived had kitchens which also meant I feld obligated to actually cook and, well, buy groceries.

In college, I was constantly busy and overwhelmed. I sometimes went to the grocery store with no list and left with hardly any real food. Other times I bought too much and ended up tossing expired fruits and snacks. I am suddenly a mom — I adopted kittens

A mother of two! A working mother of two! I spent the week hanging out with them and going to work to support my sons. Aren’t they pretty?

Last weekend, I fairly suddenly adopted two five-week-old kittens and my life is changed. Their names are Bub and Luca and they’re brothers and I love them dearly.
