When I turned 19, I made a bunch of “Things to do before 20” post and when I turned 20, I followed up on that post but didn’t make new goals. You know, it’s fine. Though I don’t have any goals, I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in the past year. I’ve made so many strong connections with friends and professors. I’ve been getting grades I’m proud of and fixing my resume. I killed my final senior presentation…
This is my last birthday in college and it’s one of the last few “big” birthdays. Twenty-one! I can legally drink now, weee-ooo. I was a bit stumped for post ideas and so I decided to make a video and half of a blog post. I find that I’m particularly introspective and interesting when I’m talking about life lessons versus writing about them. Hopefully, they’ll be helpful to you, too.
And now, here are some things I’m looking forward to now that I’m twenty-one. Although not all of these are related to being twenty-one, a lot of them are just coming up soon!
1. Spring Break in New Orleans
I’ve been working on an intricate trip-planning spreadsheet for about a year and it’s getting closer and closer! I can’t wait to visit NOLA and we have so many places and things we want to see. We also hope to take a NOLA drink mixing class, something I can definitely do now that I’m finally 21!
P.S. If you have any suggestions for things to do, food to eat or places to see while in NOLA, please let me know! I’d love to hear them.
2. Seeing Lorde in Concert
My friends and I got tickets to see Lorde in 2018 and I’m hyped! Melodrama is absolutely amazing and it’s an album where I genuinely love almost every song, which is a super rare feat. I’m also going to a new concert venue, which should be exciting!
3. Graduation & My Last Semester of College
This is also accompanied by a sense of sadness and panic, but it’s a lot of happiness. My senior bucket list is still not finished and I look forward to checking more things off!
4. Sponsored Posts with Alcohol!
I can finally apply to sponsored campaigns that involve alcohol! That’s certainly exciting.
5. My Three Year Blogaversary
I can’t believe it! This blog started out of my sophomore dorm room, and now I continue it from my senior year house.
