I am suddenly a mom — I adopted kittens

A mother of two! A working mother of two! I spent the week hanging out with them and going to work to support my sons. Aren’t they pretty?

Last weekend, I fairly suddenly adopted two five-week-old kittens and my life is changed. Their names are Bub and Luca and they’re brothers and I love them dearly.

I also haven’t slept past 5:30 most days and my life has revolved around taking care of them and, also, working my new internship. Blogging has taken a backseat for this week but I figured I’d post a somewhat explanation for my absence and an introduction to my little guys, as you might see them on here now and again.

Meet Luca

Likes:  Stealing his brother’s food, climbing everything and anything, stairs, crying when we won’t let him on the table, cuddling with his brother, cell phones, food, running to where he shouldn’t be when you aren’t looking

Dislikes: Not being allowed on the table, when people sneeze (he’s scared of sneezes)

Meet Bub

Likes: Giving kisses in the morning (I die), cleaning himself and his brother, crying for a variety of reasons including when we won’t let him scale the couch like a monkey, sleeping close to your face, being held, cuddling with his brother, food

Dislikes: (Apparently) using the litter box, when people sneeze (he also gets scared), his own reflection

I’m still learning, especially since I’ve never had kitties this young…let alone two at once. Their vet visit was stressful but they’re healthy guys. If anyone has cats or has had kittens, I’d love to hear any words of wisdom.

Going forward

I adopted kittens and I’m still getting used to balancing everything. I will continue to create my usual handy, helpful lifestyle content! Don’t worry. This week has just been a crazy one, so please forgive me and enjoy the kitten pic spam.
