Ahh, we’re finally free! Say farewell to the all-nighters and pages of double spaced dread. Winter break is the collegiate’s ultimate vacation. We get to enjoy an entire month (or more) of free time. There’s one problem with that: having too much free time can be a bad thing.
In order to avoid turning your winter break into an unproductive wasteland of sweatpants and messy buns, here are some productive things to do during winter break.
Winter break is a month to be free and see your friends and family but it can also be a month of getting bored really quickly. While most of the time hanging with friends is just lounging around someone’s house while you all talk and check phones, occasionally having real plans can always be a fun time.
Plus, having fun plans always makes for a great Instagram. Don’t tell me you’ve never made a plan and thought about all of the great photos and Insta-caption puns you could make later! Without further ado, here are a bunch of ideas for things to do with friends this winter.
My 19th birthday was yesterday and it’s reminded me just how quickly time flies. To think that in just one year I’ll be in my twenties is absolutely insane and pretty frightening. The “teen” will be gone from the end of my age and I’ll for real sort of kind of be an actual adult. Yikes.

It’s typical for a girl to have all of your friends huddled around her as she reads out texts or Facebook messages from her latest boy crush. Every girl has her best Sherlock Holmes hat on and you’re all analyzing the crap out of a sequence of messages. As she sits in the circle telling her friends about what he was like when they hung out the ultimate goal is to figure out: “Does he like me!?”
