Strong relationships in college are often hit or miss. I’ve seen relationships that have been strong since freshman year and relationships that totally blew up and left people friendless and bummed out. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to ensure your relationship is a strong one and, if it ends up not working out, you won’t be left friendless and utterly heartbroken.
How to be More Easygoing
One of the last things someone would call me is easygoing. Or quiet, it depends on who you ask. I’m not particularly difficult but I’m certainly not easygoing. If there’s a sudden plan thrown at me or things take a turn I didn’t prepare for, I’m usually visibly thrown. When I’m asked to do something that I don’t entirely want to do or had planned to do, I’ll definitely hesitate before saying, “Yes, I guess so.”
But, I’ve noticed I surround myself with easygoing people. The people closest to me have always responded to my plans and half-baked ideas with, “Okay, let’s do it!” They carry on with nothing less than enthusiasm and easygoingness. There’s this theory that we become a mix of the five people we’re closest to and, while I don’t entirely believe it, I have found that people I love the most have qualities I admire. I wish I was as positive and enthusiastic about spontaneous plans and things I’m unsure of. So, in typical fashion, I’m writing an advice sort of post that’s also directed toward myself. From what I’ve observed and researched, here’s how to be more easygoing or at least here’s how to start the journey towards becoming just that.
10 Goals To Set This Summer
I always head into the summer with big plans and a somewhat jaded concept of what summer really is. I don’t often do the things I planned to do and I barely even have free time, especially since I’ve been interning for the past three summers. With all of that aside, there are plenty of goals to set this summer that can have a positive impact.
Setting these goals can help you prepare for a wonderful fall. They can also ensure you stay on track and avoid falling into an endless unproductive pit. Without further ado, here are some goals to set this summer.
10 Cures for Boredom For Millennials
It feels like the older you get the harder it is to resolve those “I’m bored!” feelings. When you’re bored as a child you can literally just find a big stick and be entertained for hours. Does anyone else vividly remember the childhood feeling of excitement you had when you found a really big stick in the park? Mom would never let you take it home and you’d have to throw it back on the sidewalk for another kid to pick up, but it was thrilling. I digress. Honestly, if I found a big stick now I’d probably wrap it in yarn, paint it and turn it into some ~Tumblr style~ decor.
Sometimes you might not even realize you’re bored when you can spend your bouts of boredom scrolling on social media for hours until there’s literally nothing new on any of them. When I’m in a pit of boredom I go from Instagram to Snapchat to Facebook to Pinterest to Tumblr and then back around until I realize I need to actually do something besides give myself FOMO. Here are some cures for boredom for millennials to help you feel a little more entertained and possibly even productive.
