I’m going into my junior year of college, which is terrifying. As I near the second half of college, I’m starting to get an idea of the things I want to and need to change and thus my fall semester goals are born. These fall semester goals are things I’m going to try to accomplish this semester and hopefully they can inspire you to make your own goals and complete them! Or at least attempt to complete them until you forget about them a week or so later. Whoops.
Freshman year of college is truly a one of a kind experience. Note I kept that description fairly neutral. Truthfully, there’s a lot of ups and downs but you can help keep that to mostly ups by following these tips.
Don’t be the one who was drunk for two weeks straight or the one who packed way too much furniture and decor for a dorm or the one who gained and lost four friend groups in four months. These are mistakes freshman make and exactly how to avoid and prevent them from happening.
This isn’t all about the elusive “Freshman 15” that no one can quite figure out if it’s real or not, don’t worry. There are a lot of things to avoid in college (obviously) and here are some of them. Who doesn’t love when people tell them not to do, right? If nothing else, don’t take this post and do the whole “Since you told me not to, I’m going to!” thing. Like I’ve said before, I’m not your mom so there’s no need for some angsty teenage rebellion here.
As a college student with straight A’s you’re probably expecting me to tell you to never skip class but I’m here to tell you that you can skip class and get away with it! Oh yeah, for real. Knowing when to skip class is an easily acquired skill but getting skip-happy is like a one-way trip to failing or getting on your professors bad side.
All in all, skipping class isn’t the worst thing in the world if it’s done properly. So, without further ado, here’s when to skip class and when to definitely not skip it! Also, I’ll throw in some tips on how to skip class which sounds super redundant but hear me out first! Would it be read me out since you’re reading it? Read me out sounds creepy, nevermind.
