The BEST Matte Lip Colors Under $10

You might insist on spending $25+ on a good matte lip product, but the truth is you can get amazing lip colors under $10. I’m not knocking high end products, but I am encouraging you to take a ride on the wild drugstore side. Honestly, if the drugstore isn’t in your list of places to look for awesome beauty products, you’re missing out on some wonderful products.

Note, prices of these may vary depending on your retailer or sales, but generally they’re all incredibly affordable and under $10. With that being said, here are some of my tested and true best inexpensive matte lipsticks.

1. Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lip – $6

These live up to their hype, I promise. Honestly, a lot of products everyone raves about tend to be overhyped and under-performing (ie: Revlon Lip Butters…I’m still not impressed) but not these. You’ve seen every YouTuber and Vlogger rave about these, but they genuinely are as good as they sound. The formula is pretty drying, but if you use lip balm before and after you’ll be fine. The pigmentation is amazing and the color selection is insanely varied.

2. Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams – $5.99

I rave about these in any and every post mentioning lip color and I even have a post with Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream Swatches and Review. Honestly, it’s not a beauty post on eyeliner wings & pretty things unless I have a lovefest over Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams; I’m sorry. I also mentioned this in my Best Drugstore Red Lipsticks, because Monte Carlo is such a gorgeous shade in this collection. It’s a must have.

3. ULTA Matte Lip Cream – $9

Yes, store brands are always skeptical and I only bought this to get free shipping, but the pigmentation and staying power on these is genuinely amazing. They’re on the pricier end of the under $10 range, but the packaging is definitely a bit nicer than some of the other products…not that packaging is everything.

4. Nyx Liquid Suede – $6.99

Another Nyx lip product, are you surprised? I am genuinely in love with Nyx’s lip products and these are no exception. The formula lasts very long and isn’t drying, which is perfect. I own the above pictured lip color and let me tell YOU. This color is so pigmented and bright. A lot of people really don’t like it, but I like wearing it just for fun.

4. Wet N Wild MegaLast Lip Color- $1.99

I mentioned “Sugar Plum Fairy” in my Best Drugstore Dark Lipsticks and it’s definitely still my favorite color in the collection. This collection has a great variety for such an inexpensive price. The packaging is a bit wobbly and not the nicest, but the quality of the product is great and the price is amazing, so who can complain?

5. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm – $7

These are definitely the most moisturizing ones on the list. The shades in the line vary from wearable nudes to super pigmented purple and an almost neon coral. I love the variety and how easily these glide on. The staying power isn’t the most amazing thing, but it’s so easy to reapply that it’s not the biggest problem in the world.

6. Nyx Matte Lipstick

This lipstick in Eden is the love of my life. It’s so creamy and this lip color stayed on through me drinking coffee and water, eating a burger and eating chips. It lasts for such a long time through anything and I’m genuinely impressed. It glides on so dreamily and basically Nyx lip products are fantastic. I’ve yet to be disappointed.
