As much as we’d all love to rock diamond Cartier earrings and pearl necklaces all day, I doubt our budget allows for that. For ladies like me who love wearing a different necklace on the daily and can’t seem to commit to a pricey jewelry piece (for fear of losing it, oops), I’ve gathered up 5 of my favorite places to purchase inexpensive accessories.
1. CharmingCharlie
Before I entered this store I though it was an overpriced and uppity boutique because it’s just so…pretty! The store is arranged by color and there is so much to look at from purses and phone cases to jewelry and hair accessories. I’m in actual love with this store and almost every accessory I picked up was under $10 and many were even under $2!
2. Icing
They have so many adorable sterling silver earrings—which is perfect for sensitive ears that can’t handle super cheap F21 earrings. The majority of earrings I own are from here and Icing typically has some kind of sale on earrings or accessories because that’s mostly all they sell. It’s basically like the Claire’s store’s older and cooler sister.
3. Forever 21
This one is sort of common sense. You’re generally better off purchasing Forever 21 accessories online because it offers more variety than in store, but the store has some great options as well. The giant F21s in NYC are great for browsing through accessories. Forever 21 is great for finding accessories that keep up with current trends because they swap out their stock so often.
4. Charlotte Russe
This store is one of my go-to clothing stores but they also have a huge selection of accessories. Most of the accessories are super inexpensive and they, like Forever 21, try to keep up with trends and often change up their stock.
5. Love Culture
This store often closes and re-opens (at least the one near me) and thus always has really huge sales. I got necklaces for $3, but even when they’re not on the brink of closing, they do have fair prices for accessories. There aren’t too many locations of this store but their online site offers a wide selection!
My Picks
1+ No, You Hang Up Phone Case – CharmingCharlie– I actually just bought this for $2 and I’m OBSESSED. This is so Tumblr and super ironic. It’s been on my phone for a month now and I get compliments all of the time.
2+ Bike Analog Watch – Forever21– I hate watches and telling time on this is probably a pain in the ass, but use this to accessorize and use phones to tell time! Boom.
3+ Metal-Bridge Round Plastic Sunglasses – Charlotte Russe – These are so fun and the color is gorgeous!
4+ Gold Stars Earrings – Love Culture – These are so constellation-y and cool. I personally wouldn’t go for such statement earrings, but I’m in love with these.
5+ Sterling Silver Lightning Bolt Stud Earrings – Icing – These are one of the first pairs of earrings I bought and they make me feel like a total bad ass.
Also remember that you probably get what you pay for! Put clear nail polish on accessories to avoid the dreaded green skin and be careful because some might be more delicate than others.
I LOVE charming charlie and forever 21 for accessories, they are definitely my top two places for inexpensive accessories!
I agree! Charming Charlie is such a fun store to look around in, I can’t leave without buying at least one thing!
